Meet the Octopus in a Bottle

These little cephalopods are ready to be released from service and assigned to a new custodian. Each Octopus in a Bottle will arrive safely contained in their bottle, ready to take up residence in their new home. Once they are in your hands, however, their behavior is officially your responsibility.

About: Pickles eats imaginary sea pickles. Nobody knows what a sea pickle is. Nobody knows where they come from. Pickles is not interested in answering questions and would prefer that you simply trust the process.

More than just a sculpture, each Octopus in a Bottle is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable, functional art. Standing approximately 12" tall with a 4" diameter base, each bottle is fitted with a hand-laced leather topper and belt loop so your new recruit can travel with you. The bottom of the bottle screws off, creating a small compartment for carrying trinkets, treasures, or whatever else your cephalopod decides is important.

Each bottle also bears a hand-punched metal name tag featuring the individual name of its occupant.

A Few Things You Should Know

Every Octopus in a Bottle is handmade individually, which means no two are exactly alike. Their coloring, markings, little quirks, and overall personality may vary slightly from the photographs.

Please look closely at the photos before choosing your new crew member. The octopus you see is the octopus you are adopting.

And once they arrive? Be prepared.

They may be cute.
They may be tiny.
They may be safely contained in a bottle.

But make no mistake — they're a handful.
